Chemical Dependency Treatment Program

REACH professionals in this program include an experienced team including a psychiatrist, psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and mental health counselors who serve clients struggling with substance use and their family members.
Referrals are accepted from all community resources and residents. Initial evaluation can be made by telephone appointment or by just walking in at REACH. An intake appointment will be scheduled within a few days. Services are provided in Long Beach, Lynbrook and Port Washington.
Outpatient Counseling Program (Mental Health Clinic)

REACH professionals in this program serve adults, adolescents, and children who struggle with mental illnesses. This experienced team includes a psychiatrist, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and social workers.
REACH serves clients struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment, loss, difficulties at school, mood disorders, relationship issues and other mental health struggles. Services include individual, group and family therapy, psychiatric evaluations, and play therapy.

REACH sponsors an advocacy program for those involved in the Juvenile/Adult Criminal Justice System and provides counseling, legal assistance and referral services.
The Pre and Post Institutional Project (PPIP) provides transitional services to youth returning to their home community from placement or incarceration. Services include case management, supportive and preventive counseling and concrete services.

REACH offers a counselor available to talk when help is most needed. Persons of any age may call this crisis hotline for help with depression, drug and alcohol related problems, referrals, counseling and more. This is a free, confidential service available Monday-Thursday evenings, 6-11pm.

Danielle Bertoli - Executive Director
An alternative high school diploma program for students who have withdrawn from the traditional education system. Students are counseled towards development of self-esteem, vocational goals and improved interpersonal and personal development. Classes are uniquely geared to the academic and emotional needs of the students enrolled. The staff consists of experienced social workers, educators and professionals who contribute their expertise as volunteer tutors and instructors. Registered by the State Education Department, graduates earn a High School Diploma. College and vocational admission assistance are also provided.

Comprehensive program for pregnant, parenting and at-risk youth providing prevention education outreach, case management, supportive individual and family counseling, parent education, transportation and child care services. The Pre/Post Natal Educational Program is an alternative high school diploma program for pregnant and parenting adolescents. Students from any community may apply for this service and upon graduation will receive a New York State High School Diploma.
